Past Commodore & founder of the Lake Belton Yacht Club Fund (501c3) and its operating entity, the Central TX Regional Sailing & Boating Center (RSBC past Program Director)

No longer associated with the RSBC community sailing program, many of my days were spent as a volunteer coach and sailing instructor for many years.  The center teaches small boat sailing to community youth & adults, for groups of about 6 students.  The RSBC now utilizes 4 Lasers, and two Club 420s with spinnakers in their small boat sailing programs.  For RSBC keelboat training, they have two J/22 racing boat and a Hunter Vision 31 cruising sailboat.  These boats are available for Lessons & Charter for a nominal fee.

The proceeds are used to build a training fleet of 4 Club 420's for collegiate and High School sailing, and fleet of 8 Lasers and a fleet of 4 J/22s for one design racing.  The LBYC is a "not-for-profit" 501c7 organization dedicated to further the art and pleasure of sailing.

I held certification from US Sailing (the National & Olympic governing body for sailing) for "Small Boat Sailing Instructor" and am a current ASA "Basic Keelboat Instructor".  Instruction is through the RSBC and information can be obtained at our website:

My current sailboat, Elite 37, is on its trailer and in the process of being updated.  There was nothing wrong with her, just old...1983.  Topsides & deck are now painted with AwlGrip and we are working on the interior and new thru-hull fitting next.  Moving the boat to Clear Lake to race more in the Galveston Bay and Gulf of Mexico coast.  I held a 50GT Master certificate with the USCG (now retired) and will be teaching sailing and racing on the Bay!

Fair Winds!
